Can a Lima-based developer help resurrect Detroit?


“Fernando Palazuelo, a real estate developer originally from Spain, has purchased the abandoned Packard plant in Detroit— and he has a plan to bring the bankrupt city back to its former glory.

“The Packard plant, a hulking complex that occupies 40 acres in the eastern part of the city, is generally considered a symbol of the decline of the automotive industry in Detroit.”
